|Recommended: NoPoor — Everything looked good upon moving in until you look closer. You hear everything above you because it was poorly constructed. There is mold in the walls which we would not have even known if it was not for the leak above us from our neighbors bath tub and I am certain there is mold now because it was not properly ripped out and the hole was not even covered until recently..more like filled with a cement foam. Mold is harmful and the lack of caring for your tenants is even more disturbing. I have taken pictures of everything in these walls.
Maintenance puts a bandaid on things instead of fixing issues. Last property manager Sheryl said bed bugs were present after we said I was bit by something in the apartment and tried to con us into a 500 month treatment plan. After having multiple specialists come out she finally understood it was not bed bugs.
It stinks of weed everywhere around our building. People throw trash everywhere. You do not have a nice area for the children so they do nothing except get into trouble. Electrical outlet in the kitchen had been out the whole time here. For the price paid..I am not pleased. These issues need to be addressed. I overstand that we have new owners so I hope these issues get taken care of.

|Recommended: NoPark Place Apartment Review — When I first moved in here almost four years ago, I was pleased with the complex. But allowing neighbors to continually be rude to other residents by being loud, rude, throwing trash down, vicious behavior, allowing others to just move in for long periods of time, working on cars in the parking area, destruction of property, loud cars, loud talking, tv, games, shouting until late at night, and unaddressed repeated maintenance issues like the siding coming off above the bedroom window outside the apartment below me I put in I don’t know how many maintenance request about the siding flapping, and I know I spoke to Cheryl and Kris on the phone about it several times. It was never addressed, but I hear from a neighbor that one of the maintenance guys said, “well, a maintenance request needs to be submitted I was like what the heck
Anyway, if a 36 page lease is to signed by each resident, then I expect every single resident here to abide by the same rules of the lease, or they need to go. Otherwise, why even bother with having one.
The “security officer,” is no where to be seen or found, and I know he has heard the kids hollering and being destructive, cars racing loudly through the parking lot, and the fireworks that have been set off every single year I have lived here. The laundry room washers need to balanced all of them. And I have reported that problem through the company several times too, but I guess it was not approved to be fixed by the complex
I can’t even imagine trying to run an apartment complex, and would not want to, but I am a firm believer that if rules and regulations are to honored by all residents, then that should be happening. Especially, if a resident has signed the contract and agreed to live here.
|Recommended: YesGreat, Affordable Living In The Center Of Charleston — Park Place is a nice apartment complex with helpful staff. The true bonus to living here is that you are 30 minutes from pretty much anything. Quite for the most part and not a lot of traffic.
|Recommended: YesComfortable And Quiet — I've been living here for 1 year and have had no problems with anything. My neighbors are friendly and quiet, the complex is quiet I'm definitely signing for another year lease.
|Recommended: NoNot Great — The place refuses to put out cameras even though my car and several others got broken into, the laundry room got vandalized, and the rec area was also vandalized. I don't feel safe here anymore. Don't even get me started on everything else that is wrong. Do yourself a favor and move somewhere else if you can afford it.
|Recommended: YesLived here for 7 years. Rent went up astronomically every year and the apartment stayed the same. We had a rat problem rats coming in from outside under the kitchen sink that management never fixed they sent an exterminator by twice and that was that apparently, so we had to fix it ourselves without losing our security deposit. Our neighbor frequently parked in the yard common area. The laundry room is expensive and often full of broken machines, but at least it's convenient. I can't say I wouldn't recommend the place, but if you have other options, take them.
|Recommended: NoYou Get What You Pay For — The neighbor is going down over the years. Our apartment is falling apart and it does no good to put in maintenance request because it will not be fixed correctly. Since day one our dish washer has never worked. The cheap paint that they use is wearing away so you see all the marks and ugly they painted over. The mold or mildew is now starting to show because the paint they used to cover it is coming off. The ceiling looks like it going to fall soon. The floor feels like it will give away soon also. The pool was close most of the season because of issues with it and when it was still hot out side they closed it for the season. They say we have pest control but we never see anyone and have to buy our own chemicals to kill the unwanted roaches we get from the neighbors and have been getting since day one. Now my friends lives in another building where they did updates and her apartment is not bad. They go up on the rent every year but don’t do anything to the apartment.

|Recommended: YesPark Place Is Amazing — Even though I just moved in I absolutely love everything about Park Place. The process of getting approved for the apartment was done in a timely manner. The staff was very nice and helpful. When I moved in the apartment was very clean and everything was working and well taken care of. I LOVE EVERYTHING.
